Martial Arts Programs

Our programs focus on teaching the traditional Korean art of Tang Soo Do. Often referred to as "Korean Karate", the art of Tang Soo Do is over 2,000 years old and is the basis for other Korean styles, such as Taekwondo. As part of the International Tang Soo Do Federation, our school teaches curriculum using the systems developed and maintained by Grandmaster Chun Sik Kim, one of the original masters who brought Tang Soo Do to the United States in the 1970's.

Traditional Tang Soo Do (Grade 3 - Adult)

Our traditional Tang Soo Do program is for students from 2nd grade up through adult ages. We teach traditional techniques, including various blocks, strikes, kicks, grab escapes, and joint locks. Learning self-defense, overcoming personal obstacles, and getting/staying healthy & fit are the primary focus areas. Students attend classes two days a week, and progress through the traditional Tang Soo Do belt system.

Youth classes:

  • Mondays and Wednesdays, 5:15-6:00 pm
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays: 7:10-7:55 pm
  • Advanced: Mondays and Wednesdays, 7:10-8:00 pm

Adult (High School and up) classes:

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:10-6:55 pm
  • Advanced: Mondays and Wednesdays, 7:10-8:00 pm

Panthers Program (Grades K-2)

Younger children require a different approach towards learning martial arts effectively. Our instructors have many years of experience teaching kids in this age range, and our Panther classes are specially designed to balance the elements of learning, respect, confidence, and fun! Our Panthers receive special belt promotions and become prepared for a smooth transition into our Traditional Tang Soo Do Program. Panther students attend classes two days a week.

Panther classes:

  • Mondays and Wednesdays, 6:15-6:50 pm
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:15-5:50 pm

All of our programs operate on a session-based enrollment basis, with no membership contracts required. At Eagledove Martial Arts, we are confident in the power of martial arts training to improve one's life and believe that it is our responsibility to continuously re-earn your interest.

Each session includes 9 weeks of classes. Our next scheduled sessions are as follows:

  • Late Fall 2020: October 19 - December 22, 2020
  • Winter 2021: January 4 - March 4, 2021
  • Spring 2021: March 15 - May 20, 2021

There is a one-time enrollment fee of $99 per student (includes your first uniform, sparring gear, and membership in the International Tang Soo Do Federation). We have a variety of payment plans available for your session tuition. Depending on the plan you choose, you could be training for as little as $115/month. Discounts are available for additional members in the same household. Download our current pricing brochure here.

Many of our classes are currently full, and we are operating on a "wait list" enrollment procedure. Submitting your enrollment fee places you on the wait list for the next session. Spots for the next session are generally filled two weeks prior to the start date, allocated in the following order:

  • Current students
  • Family members of current students
  • Students on the wait list, in order of payment of the Enrollment Fee (if you have submitted an Enrollment Fee, but we do not have space for you, you can keep your place on the wait list for the next session, or you can receive a full refund of your Enrollment Fee.)

In addition, up until the rank of Black Belt Candidate, all testing and promotion fees are included with your session registrations. There may be additional future expenses for weapons and other gear as students progress in training.

Email info@eagledovemartialarts.com or call 704-909-7987 for more details about the session payment options and to register for classes. (Note: A $10 late charge is applied to any registration within 2 weeks prior to the start of a session.)
